Exam stress!
- Set small, achievable goals for yourself and work on these one at a time
- Take short breaks from study every hour or two
- If you are running out of time to study for an exam, prioritize - what are the most important things to focus on?
- Spend five minutes each day practicing relaxation skills - close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, tell yourself to relax and be calm, think of something pleasant
- Try to keep your thoughts positive but realistic
- Keep your caffeine intake down
- Try to get a decent sleep each night
- Try to do some light exercise (e.g. walking) a couple of times each week
- Make time every week to do something nice for yourself, e.g. see a movie, visit a friend, have ice cream, read a frivolous magazine
- Make plans to reward yourself in some way when the semester is over
